GIVING BACK!

Giving back to the community is at the heart of the YouthBuild program. Our research shows our youth are disconnected from their communities, and therefore it is important to find a way for them to re-engage. Community service is beneficial for so many reasons. As well as saving resources, it makes volunteers feel good. It gives them experience, brings them together, builds camaraderie and teamwork. It strengthens communities, but most of all it promotes personal growth, self esteem and civic responsibility in our students. In giving back, they invest in their communities and transform themselves in the process. Here are some projects where our students have made a difference.
