COMMUNITY SERVICE

All young people who enter a YouthBuild program, anywhere in the world, pursue a dual mission: to create a meaningful and productive life for themselves and their families while giving their best energies to improve the world around them. During their time in the Youthbuild Bahamas Program, all our students engage in community service. The community service component is a way of reconnecting youth to their communities through "doing." In the process of changing their own lives, students knock down barriers to their development and remove negative stereotypes about out-of-school youth.
