YouthBuild Bahamas is piloting the YouthBuild program model, which is over 37 years old with 260 programs in 46 U.S. States serving 10,000 youth annually. In collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank, the Government of the Bahamas, the private sector, and more than 20 community organizations, YouthBuild International partnered with local organizations to adapt the YouthBuild program model to the Bahamian context.
The Launch Date for the first pilot program was 1 February 2016, serving 50 students. The first 46 students graduated on 17 June 2016.
The second program serving a further 50 students is currently being developed.
